Thanks and Giving

We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with family, friends, and lots of delicious food–hope you did too! Thanksgiving, for many, is about eating, football, and preparing for Black Friday shopping.  The bakers at A Party for One ate, watched football, and prepared for Black Friday giving.  We supported Ann Taylor in the Oaks Mall by donating mini-cupcakes in assorted flavors (Key lime, Oreo, chocolate with chocolate butter cream and vanilla butter cream) and logo sugar cookies for their Bake Sale to benefit St. Jude's Research Hospital.  While we were in the mall, we surprised our friends at the Body Shop with mini-cupcakes and logo sugar cookies to share with their customers who were there taking advantage of the day's deals.

We have so much to be thankful for...thanks and giving feels really good!

The Start of the Holiday Season

Fall officially begins in late September, but in Gainesville, FL it can feel like summer for another month.  Now that the mercury is finally dropping, Halloween has passed, and even the time has changed, it is starting to feel like fall.  In many stores, it looks and smells like fall, too!  Displays are up for Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Christmas–the holiday season has begun.  At A Party for One we are busy making the perennial favorite flavors, but have also added a seasonal pumpkin cupcake that tastes like fall!  Even friends and family that don't typically like pumpkin love this sweet treat topped with a creamy maple frosting.
