Have Your Cookie and Cupcake, Too!

We made cupcakes and cookies--and cupcakes WITH cookies! Nabisco's Oreos remain one of the most popular cookies, especially among true chocolate lovers. So who wouldn't love a dark chocolate cupcake with Oreo butter cream, topped with an Oreo? They certainly got rave reviews, along with some vanilla cupcakes with purple vanilla butter cream, and Key lime cupcakes for a birthday gathering.  The other cookies this week were gifts for a realtor's new homeowners.  Keys AND cookies...nice!

Two Busy Bakers!

The past week was super busy and super exciting at A Party for One! We baked over 1000 mini-cupcakes for a high school homecoming and loved every minute of it. The cupcake flavors included: vanilla cupcakes with chocolate butter cream and vanilla butter cream, chocolate cupcakes with chocolate butter cream and vanilla butter cream, Key lime cupcakes with Key lime frosting, and an extra special purple velvet cupcake to highlight the school colors.

It's Always a Good Time to Be Baking!

We always enjoy making cupcakes and sweet treats and the pleasure experienced by friends and customers eating our goodies are just...the icing on the cupcake!  This week we baked mini-cupcakes, standard size cupcakes, decorated cookies, and even a few cake pops.

Two Girls and Two KitchenAids

A Party for One Cupcakes and Sweet Treats started in Gainesville, FL as a friendship between two girls who shared a love of good food–among other things.  As our friendship grew, we spent more and more time in the kitchen together, reading, and watching the Food Network to perfect our craft.  Now, we spend most weekends–and many weeknights–putting our KitchenAids to work on recipes for cupcakes and sweet treats.
